Professional Teeth Whitening

As we get older our teeth start to lose their natural whiteness. Substances like tea, coffee, and tobacco can cause stains and discoloration of your tooth enamel, and your self-confidence in your smile might start to wane.

Dentists in Point Cook will introduce you to the Opalescence Gold take-home whitening kit, which will remove heavy stains and restore your teeth to their natural whiteness.

It’s Natural for Teeth to Become Discoloured Over Time

A bright, healthy smile is a sign of wellness and one of the markers of aesthetic beauty. As we get older and expose our teeth to corrosive and staining substances, they get stained.

As we age, the enamel on our teeth thins out, exposing the dentin below the surface. The layer is yellow.

Different foods, sodas and medications can all cause colour changes to the teeth, and staining, which can’t be removed by regular brushing.

Opalescence Teeth Whitening

Your Point Cook dentist is likely to recommend the Opalescence Gold take-home kit because it delivers a brighter smile in a relatively short period of time. As a leader in the industry for over 20 years, Opalescence delivers exceptional results for minor and major dental whitening.

Many teeth whitening products treat the outside of the tooth enamel, whilst Opalescence safely removes stains from the inside out. This gentle and effective solution eliminates the molecular structure of the stains/discoloration.

The Teeth Whitening Procedure Explained

Your dentist will create a mould of your mouth and build a custom tray that fits the unique shape and structure of your mouth and teeth.

She or he will then give you the Opalescence Kit to take home.

  • Step 1 : Squeeze a bead of gel about halfway up the facial tray from one molar to the other. You can expect to use ┬¢ to 1/3 syringe for each tray.
  • Step 2 : Place the tray in your mouth and tap on it lightly so that it fits the sides of your teeth perfectly. The length of time you use it for will be discussed with your dentist.
  • Step 3 : After the recommended wear time remove the tray from your mouth and brush your teeth ensuring you remove all the gel from your teeth. Rinse your mouth thoroughly and avoid swallowing any gel.
  • Step 4 : Clean your tray with water and a soft-bristled brush. Allow the tray to dry thoroughly and then store it in its case.
